1. Who we are

ai4yb (“we”, “us”) is a business based in Brisbane, Australia. We run ai4yb.com. For anything about your personal information, email hello@ai4yb.com.

2. What we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us through our forms:

  • Talk to us form: your name, email address, business name (optional), industry (optional), the type of enquiry and your message.
  • Readiness checklist: your answers stay in your browser and are not sent to us. If you choose to share your result, we receive your name, email address, business name, industry (optional), your answers and your score.
  • Newsletter: your first name, surname, email address and phone number (optional).

To protect our forms from spam, we briefly keep a scrambled (one-way hashed) version of your internet address. It cannot be turned back into your address and is deleted within 10 minutes. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (such as internet address, browser type and pages visited) for security and to keep the site running.

The People Database demo runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into it is sent to us.

3. How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry or discuss your checklist result.
  • To send you our newsletter, if you signed up. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.
  • To keep our website secure and working.

We do not sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. We do not make automated decisions about you.

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the website and our email. They handle your information only to provide their service to us:

  • Hostinger, which hosts the website and stores form entries.
  • Google Workspace, which runs our email. Form entries are emailed to us.
  • Google Analytics, which measures how the website is used (see Cookies and analytics).
  • A newsletter service, if we start sending newsletters through one. We will name it here before we do.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

5. Where it is stored

Our providers may store information on servers outside your country, including in the United States, Europe or Asia. We choose providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to Australian and New Zealand privacy law.

6. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and shared checklist results: up to two years after our last contact, unless you become a client, in which case we keep records as long as the law requires.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Spam-protection data: 10 minutes.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see Your rights).

7. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this site, for example which pages are read and where visitors come from, so we can improve it. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google details such as the pages you visit, your approximate location, your device and browser, and the site that referred you. Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. It does not receive what you type into the readiness checklist or the demos, or anything you send in our forms. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use analytics to identify you.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on. The site works the same without them. Our hosting provider may also use strictly necessary technical cookies to protect the site from attacks. Fonts and other files are served from our own website.

8. Your rights

Wherever you are, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct it if it is wrong;
  • delete it;
  • stop sending you emails.

Email hello@ai4yb.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are first. We will not charge you or treat you differently for asking.

9. Australia

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This includes telling you when information may be stored overseas (section 5) and giving you access and correction (section 8). Our emails follow the Spam Act 2003: we only send newsletters you asked for, we identify ourselves, and we include an unsubscribe link. If you are unhappy with how we handled a complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

10. New Zealand

For visitors in New Zealand, we follow the Information Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 2020, including your rights to access and correct your information and the rules on sending information overseas. If you are unhappy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

11. United States

For visitors in the United States, including California and other states with privacy laws:

  • The categories of information we collect are listed in section 2, and the purposes in section 3.
  • We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We have not done so in the past 12 months.
  • You have the rights in section 8: to know, access, correct and delete your information, and not to be discriminated against for using them. You may use an authorised agent to make a request.
  • We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

12. Contact and complaints

Questions or complaints: hello@ai4yb.com. Please tell us what happened and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the regulator for your country listed above.

We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
